This Chrstmas I WIsh...

I wish I had more time. Really, time passes very quickly and sometimes you don't have enough time to react to the changes. Besides that, I really wish I had Guitar Hero. It seems like a cool game. And being myself a guitar player I find it very interesting.

I hope Santa is reading my blog. :P

It's Been a Long Time

Wow, what an absence from my page!!!! It seems I haven't posted in years, and that may be true. That doesn't mean I have not played any games, in fact I have played them a lot since I bought my 360 . But along with working a lot on my own business I have not much time left.

Still, I refuse to abandon my blog! :D

It's surprising how the game industry has progressed over the years until becoming mainstream. I read everyday Joystiq.com just to get the latest news from the game community. I sometimes wish I was in a country like USA, where I get full access to all the services available. For example I have no place to buy an Xbox Live Membership!!! I had my free month of Gold memebership and I want more!!! Just to play PGR3 hehe.

Anyway, this is just my comeback post. So I will not bore any reader I might have with my crazy musings. If you arrive by chance here. Check my previous posts!!! heee.

Lost Planet, Xbox 360 exclusive

Well, I've been playing for a while Dead Rising and Saints Row, both great games by the way. But another game I'm looking forward to get my hands on is Lost Planet.

Lost Planet is a Capcom game. And I love Capcom ever since they created Megaman. Had an Xbox prevously so I really had no chance to play Devil May Cry, because it was a PS3 exculsive title aimed more to the Asian market. Now I don't know where did they get that bullshit from, but now they are making up for it and releasing some cool titles.

Lost Planet by the way will be a 360 exclusive title, so I'm pretty glad I bought one. In the words of Jun Takeuchi, or JT for the friends:

Lost Planet is an exclusive Xbox 360 title. Typically when the development team sets out to create a game, we focus development of the title on a single platform and for Lost Planet that platform is the Xbox 360. We have no plans at this time of porting to or developing for another console as this would potentially dilute the final product.

Yeah, Yeah Got My Xbox 360

UPDATE to my boring gaming life!!!! Just what you were expecting so much!!!

Well, got my Xbox, now I would really like to play it. Believe it or not I spent $600 on that machine - premuim edition. Now I'm almost broke, waiting fr my next check. (9 more days!!! I can do it!!)

For those who don't know me. I'm form Peru, so everything must go to taxes, services, etc, etc, so I expect to find the PS3 at $1000 no kidding. It is fucking awful, but I just have to embrace the facts. So far I've downloaded Pac Man to my 360. Yeah, $600 just to play Pac Man. I still have to re-accomodate al my gaming ecosystem, buy a long ethernet cable, a transformer. (Electricty ones, no Optimus Prime ones), and there you have it, I will be able 2 sdownload demos or give $60 to one happy store clerk of aprox the 3 stores that sells 360 games. Anyway, this makes me a pioneer of next-gen gaming in my country. Sí se puede!! - I don't understand why they can't even put a demo on my hard disk, and still I have a useless Titanic feature.

FF III arrives to America...November 14

The long awaited remake of Final Fantasy III arrives to America for the DS. Crazy cosplay fans will be making lines outside the closest gaming store to get ahold fo this new precious item in their collections. Yousee, It works like this with money making machines. That's why we still have Tony Hawk games popping out, or Medal of Honor and clones.

I've played a lot of WWII games, and still in my memory I keep the long nights of Medal Of Honor I gaming.

Did you know that Final Fantasy has a Juice, Cola or whatever that looks exactly the same as the in-game potions?. Fo' real!!!! I have proof here it is, so don't start calling me crazy, though maybe I am.

What's wrong with Sony? (or with me?)

I have a problem with the PS3. It just doesn't feel right.

This week I am facing an inner dilemma, I have the money to buy me an Xbox 360 along with an anxiety for playing next-gen games now, today (being specific, Dead Rising). Damn, I wish this was a big blog, where I could get hands on preview of all that cool stuff, but it isn't so I have to save for my toys. ;)

This got me thinking. Is Sony taking too much time? When the news first came out that the big next-gen game console wars had started i was excited. All my bets to the PS3, because I have an Xbox and missed a lot of PS2 games. But now Sony, is taking too long. I feel I'm not the only one. They've announced it's gonna be expensive, and this is worst to me, since I'm out of the USA.

How much will the games cost? Making a game is getting more expensive every year, or every console, since we are talking about them. It´s like making a movie, the fancier the graphics, physics and all the cool stuff, it is gonna cost more.

So I don't know... I'm getting tired of waiitng for the PS3, and not getting any great news from Sony. The last news I heard was 2 game development companies not making anything for the PS3. and here I'm am writing this. What do you think about this?

Mario Bros Magnets For Ya Fridge!

If you're a serious gamer, you should pay respect to Mario Bros. That's true, you should have at least one thing related to it. A magazine, a TV episode recorded on VCR. Anything you know? It's all about loooove.

Well if you don't have anything, and have some extra dough to spend, take a look at these Nintendo Mario Bros Magnets. Ideal for your fridge but not too much for your computer screen.
I'm waiting for my shipment on this, I just couldn't resist the temptation, the rest of my moeny was well invested on women and alcohol. Peace!

Top 20 Gay characters

Gaygamer.net has published a list of 20 gay characters. Although the list is very well crafted, I think they're missing a couple that always made me feel like there was something wrong with them:

The Classic Contra Guys

But..maybe that's just me though, maybe with images from Contra 3 characters I can prove my point :P

Megaman Maverick Hunters X

What should I buy?

That was my question when I was deciding between the PSP and the Nintendo DS.
I had to take in consideration many of the features that may seem useful for me. Tactile screen??? MP3??? Which one is brighter??? You know, the usual stuff that marketers make you lust for. At the end I made my decision considering the games. I'm a big fan of both Castlevania and Megaman, so this was pretty tough. It was at this point that images of Megaman from my childhood came to my mind starting with that gorious day I finished Megaman 2. :D

So I bought the PSP and Megaman Maverick Hunters X.

Yes, I can't resist a Megaman Game, I have to really control myself to stop buying a PS2 just for them. Luckily I found a copy of a Megaman X8 floating ont he web :P.

I really recommend this game, I'm playing in Hard mode, and I noticed I'm a little bit rusty. Plus there are some changes like... VILE ACTUALLY KILLING YOU AT THE FIRST STAGE... :P So if you have a PSP and you love classic games you won't be dissapointed.

Space Invaders Human Theater Style

Space Invaders is a classic, and right now classic is cool. Relive your youth this time thanks to a bunch of playahs, re-enacting scenes from Space Invaders just using their human bodies on a theater as a composition. I'm not sure if I can understand what I just wrote, but who cares? ;)

Link: SPACE INVADERS

By the way, speaking of classics, I just bought a PSP with Megaman Maverick Hunter X, and that is totally awesome!!! Yeah, that's right. This time I found the hard mode a little bit thougher though, if you have a PSP, be sure to buy this cool game. But, then maybe it's just because I'm a huge Megaman series fan.

A Guide To Playing Pac Man

Oldies are cool! And Pac Man might as well be the ultimate oldie, a game that was practically everywhere and stays as as a culture reference of our times. In its time there wasn't any game guides as we see now. Things were simple, right to the point. But you know as you play and play more and more time you start seeing things that weren't before, patterns that stay unexistent for most people. You start seeing the light. YOU BECOME PAC MANNN!!!

And then you write a guide, The Pac Man Guide - Mameworld

What's with these Top 10 lists?

At first it was interesting and fun. You know, checking out the Top 10 lists of videogames, but now... a new list pops up every 10 or so minutes. This is becoming so boring...

All the lists are just about the same things. I guess I will build a list of top 10 gay characters in videogames, with the Contra pair on top of course :P. Or maybe Top 10 pussy shots in MAME games, now that would be interesting.

I don't recall the address right now but there is a page all about top lists of videogame related topics. Anyway if you still dig for lists here's another one from one of my must-visit sites Gamefaqs.

Crosoverrrrrr- Bison in Mario's World

Wassup y'all,

I'm getting addicted to Youtube, that means, spending time wasting time I should be spending on posts :P

But..sometimes it pays off, in special when you find cool videos like this one. Imagine playing as Bison the 1-1 level of Super Mario Bros 1. Now, do you think good old M. Bison would eat dome mushrooms and flowers? Hell no, he would use his PSYCHO CRUSHER to make his way to the flag!

Ch-che-chek it out.

CONTRA!!! HELL YEAH!!!!

Check out this amazing video of a dude playing the song from Contra using a guitar.... Wow, I felt little butterflies in my stomach.

I remembered those good old times when I used to play Contra with my cousin, with those modded Max Play cartridges brought from Japan.

Well, sometimes the whole evening was just us blowing at the cartridge to make it work. But I still feel the butterflies..maybe I shouldn't have eaten them.

Backups can now be booted on the Xbox 360

Yeah, the hacking scene never rests... They are the goldmines for pirate game sellers.

Backups can now be booted on the Xbox 360 according to Xbox-scene. The firmware was released by Commodore4Eva who previously released a functional Xbox 1 firmware. It works under the same idea as the final Xbox hack: it patches the response to the media check into the DVD drive’s firmware.

Lousy Videogame Ads

I've seen this shit too many times. Still I enjoy it. I could actually make a post like these using my Gamepro magazines form the 90s. But hell, I'm too lazy to search and scan de images, so I will just leave you with this link:

The Best Words Ads form 1UP.com

Those were some really shitty ads...

Too many games, too short of time

This is my situation: I have a lot of games to play on my Xbox and PC, still, I've been playing only GTA San Andreas for the past month. Imagine walking into your room after a day at the job seeing all these great games you bought on impulse and finding yourself too tired to even play.

It's somewhat frustrating.

So, calculating my free time to play... I should have enough gaming for the next 2 years. That is if I quicky decide what to play next.

Today's gamer gear

You can remember the first time you picked up one of these bad boys, and we bet it stands out as a glorious period in your life. This is the classic Nintendo controller that started it all, strictly old school; admired by gamers from around the world and beyond. We say beyond because we met some dude with double-flap eyelids and he thought the hat was sick!

We've obviously launched a game signal or two throughout the universe during the course of game console research and development. This is a high-quality cotton hoody with an old school Nintendo controller tightly embroidered on the front. All you retro gaming fans, pick one up today!

Check The Old School Hoide in depth :P

Half Life 2 PLushie Headcrabs

There's no doubt that games are more and more entering the everyday world. Last day I saw Paris Hilton promtoing the DS I said What the fuck!!!?? This girl is everywhere.... but let's get back to the matte rof the post.

Valve has launched to the market their line of plushies, starting with the favorite of every child: The headcrab! I wish I was I child these days, I could sleep safely in my dark room knowing there is a headcrab next to me.

A Crysis is coming!!!!

I haven't finished playing FarCry yet, but it seems Crytek is well advanced in the development of Crysis, their new title using the CryENGINE 2.

When FarCry first came out to the market I was like Whoa!!!! Those are the best damn graphics I ever seen, you know? those realistic reflections, the AI, the shadows over your gun... Then I installed the patch to enable HDR on FarCry. And I was like Whoa!!Whoa!! Suddenly the game was even more cooler. Now I see these images and I'm just speechless. Just look at the graphics, it's incredible. The only downside to these fast developments is the fact that you have to buy the latest videocard, mainboard, screen, etc, etc, etc to play it like it is meant to be played. As a PC player you have to invest a lot of money...wel it's more spending than investing.

Check out the full pack of screenshots at IGN: Crysis

I want my PS3!

Hey people, check out this video. It's a leaked video footage of the latest GDC. I really feel like a child again, This is just the surface though. Imagine the graphics of games once the true power of the cell is unleashed!!! I can see now why they are delaying the launch. It's a little sacrifice to come up with a quality console. Damn!! that looks good!! Check out the whole lot of GDC videos by going to Youtube.com and searching "ps3 GDC".

Sad news for today

The PS3 has been delayed until November, (and that is for the Japan market). Damn, I'm just happy I bought my Geforce 7800 for my PC. Anyway, that may mean more time for saving money and spend some of it in girls and booze. ;)

Read and frustrate:

The Wednesday morning edition of the Nihon Keizai Shimbun reports that PlayStation 3 has been delayed until "early November" because the copy protection technology for the Blu-ray Disc has not yet been finalised.

The "November" date presumably refers to the console's Japanese release. If confirmed, it would almost certainly mean that the console's European release would not take place until 2007.

The report states that other core elements of the PS3, including the high-performance Cell processor developed with Toshiba and IBM, "are believed to have been developed on schedule". Sony had previously stuck to a "spring 2006" release estimate for the console.

The story - the source for which is currently unclear - appears in the Japanese newspaper at the start of a day that is expected to see Sony deliver more concrete details about its plans for PlayStation 3 at a press conference in Japan.

Sony's conference is planned for 3pm in Tokyo on Wednesday - around 6am GMT - and is also expected to feature a first look at some of the launch line-up for the console.

Sony representatives were not immediately available for comment.

Holy fuck

Hey, here's a question for ya playahs, what is it that this kid have that you don't???????

The Koopalings are back!!!!!! Oh yeah, me too

Yeah yeah, One Player is back. After a forced vacations from this blog, I now have more time to post here. In fact the last comment from Doom brought me out of the numbness I entered. So thanx Doom you're the man!!

Speaking of back there are some great news for us who love SMB. The koopalings will be back. Well, I didn't know they were called that way either, but they are the kids of good ol' Bowser. I used to play hours SMB 3 just to kill every one of those bastards, and then SMB World and then... they vanished. I wonder how are they now....

In a recent interview with Nintendo Power Magazine, Takashi Tezuka--Shigeru Miyamoto's right hand man--revealed some new information regarding the highly anticipated New Super Mario Bros. for the Nintendo DS.

In the interview Tezuka is asked who may be returning in the new game:

NP: Will we see any other beloved characters from the Mario universe, such as Yoshi, Toad, etc.? How about Bowser and the Koopalings?

TT: All of the characters you mentioned will show up except for Yoshi (laughs). Because we're trying to get back to the spirit of the original Super Mario Bros., Yoshi doesn't really fit.

This is good news as the Koopalings have been sadly out of action for some time now. Having them join in the fray will be a great plus and will also add to the boss elements of the game.

You can read the full news here. That reminds me, I have to buy a DS. Peace!!!

Little Nemo - The What???

Told ya, this second link is even more weird. It's a review of a hacked ROM. All you classic playahs remmeber Little Nemo? Yeah, the one for NES. That was a cool game back in those days. But nows time have changed, and some people have enough free time to bring us one of the finest jewels of classic gaming hacking today....

Little Remo - The Child Abuser!!!!

Seriously, and if you're sick enough you can download the game.

(Can't upload pictures right now, it sucksssssssss)

World smallest game in a web page

Hey today I'm leaving you two weird links. It's been a while since I posted here, and I have to say it feels good. I just wish I had more free time to update it often, but right now I'm kinda busy, however I never stop collecting links for the site. So playahs stay tuned!! :)

This page right here, is really weird I couldn't even put a post pic, because it's small, see for yourself. They have classic games on a web site, but you pay on a little frame. All pixels of course. That way your boss will never know what you're doing.!

Video Game Maps, Don't EVER get lost

Damn, this new websites appear way out of time! I remember a while ago playing the first Zelda game and getting lost. What did I do? I started drawing a fucking map thinking that wasn't going to be very big, then I found myself joining pages with masking tape, it started to grow like a mounstrous thing !! Then I stopped drawing and finally stopped playing, i spent most of my time with the big map, plus I've already downloaded a couple of other games that I wanted to put my hands on.

NOw it's easier you see? just go to the Internet and do a search for video games maps, or even better got o this website -- Video Game Maps -- and enjoy yourself, but remember, the easy way isn't always the better way. Wise words from a crack head player. Peace!

The 15 Most Influential Games of All Time

Gamespot, has published on its website a large review of the most influential games of all time. "15 Most Influential Games of All time" Goes over the history of gaming, and the games that set a standard in their own genres.

An influential game is much more than the inclusion a new gameplay feature that then is duplicated in future games. An influential game must establish a paradigm that reforms entire genres or sets a precedent that is so advanced that future game developers are forced to follow it.

These kind of features are cool, they bring the classic gamer spirit back in me. I have been playing Castlevania for the Xbox lately, and though it's somewhat entertaining and cool to see my favorite monsters in 3D, I still think the classic 2D games are the best ones. In Special Symphony of the Night for the Playstation.

The Pac-Man Butt Tattoo

How far a gamer goes for the games he/she loves? Apparently they are willing to go straight to the ass. Y'all check out his tattoo of a dramatic scene in Pacman portayed on a white ass. That should be pretty disgusting for poor Pac Man, who would have thought he would end up this way??? And what about Ms. Pacman? I hope he doesn't fall into that crap crack trap.

See the image of the PacMan Butt Tattoo Here
