New Overlord Screenshots

Overlord is an upcoming game from Triumph Studios soon to be released for the Xbox 360 and PC. And I have to say the new screenshots look VERY NICE!!!

Well, to define the graphic style I think I should say “It’s like grabbing fable and Oblivion and mixing it in a big bad bowl” But enough talking, when the word screenshots is out we just wanna see the pictures. Following this link to Kotaku.

Day of the Tentacle Wall Art

I never get tired of game-related stuff. Shirts, caps, music, shows, paintings, you name it. If I had enough money I’d start collecting all those sort of things, because gaming is a part of my life.

This time I bring a wall painting made by Omer van Kloeten. As you can see the subject is the Tentacle made famous by Lucasarts with their game Day of the Tentacle, whose heroe was the popular tentacle from the classic Maniac Mansion – A game I’ve played in NES and never got to finish it.

Enjoy this piece of art in all its glory, and also take a look at the process on Omer’s Flickr Gallery.

It's Raining Pokeballs - Halleluyah!

If you like to watch a lot of balls, you will love this commercial. You will se loooots of balls falling from the skies!! Okay, now don't get too excited ladies out there ;). This is the new commercial for the new Pokemon games for Nintendo DS hitting the stores this April 22nd.

I haven't played Pokemon games since the first ones for Gameboy color (... I think it was Pokemon Red) but I remember I had fun catching them all. Then it seemed to me that every game was the same so I stopped playing it. But, hey one thing I learned from buying a lot of games is it enver hurts to give it a try.

The Ring of Death Visited Me

Well, it sure sounds as a japanese horror flick, but it isn't. What I'm talkin about here is the -until the writing of this post- death of my dear, beloved Xbox 360.

That's right my friends, the dreaded red light came out with an error E74 on the screen, just when I decided to buy Dead or Alive 4 the next day (I finished all DOA Ultimate the previous day). You know, I'm living in Peru, so the whole guarantee-change of the Xbox is kinda tricky, so I brought it to my man A.O. to see if he could fix it. Though as of now he is still finding a way of makinf it work thanks his tech-magic, we discovered while tearing apart the machine, that four small discs that usually go under some bolts were not there - why? - Someone had opened and handled the machine before. Since no one here beside A.O. knows how to do it, we had the answer right away: The Microsoft gang.

They probably received a failed machined, repaired it and sold it again as new TO ME.

I'm really pissed off at my machine dying, but I still like a lot my 360. Why don't they fix things? why it soen't work flawless like the tough Xbox? These are questions unanswered by humanity today. But maybe old Bill will give the answers from his multimillion dollars french chateau. Damn him!
