Tibia - Free Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game

Tibi is one of the hottest searches for games on the web. Do you know what Tibia is?

Tibia is one of the oldest and most successful massive multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPG) created in Europe. In an MMORPG people from all over the world meet on a virtual playground to explore areas, solve tricky riddles and undertake heroic exploits.

It has 10 years online! That's a lot, and it is a tough achievement to complete in the World of multiplayer games. Their game is still running with the same 2D graphics that make you go back in time. Chek them out at:

To Finish the Game o to Squeeze It Until It’s Dry?

From my experience, when it comes to players, there are two types of them, regarding how they consider a game finished. One of them just moves forward with the story and missions until he or she gets “The End”, the credits and that stuff. The other one isn’t satisfied with fancy letters running up the screen and exhilarating CG Animation – They want more –They want all!!!

There could even be a third class, which is a mix. I am of this hybrid class. There are games that really deserve to be squeezed to the max. (They are fun, cool extras get unlocked, or it becomes a vice!) I can mention a few: GTA San Andreas, Saints Row, Crackdown, Need for Speed, etc.

Which kind of player are you? If you like playing a lot of games like I do, sometimes you have no other choice than play until the end, try another game and so on. But if you have had the same 5 games for the last 3 years, you can become an expert one ach one! I remember playing the Aladdin game on SNES over and over again just beating my best time to finish it … Ahh…those days… I could have bought the worse game out there, and still play it every day.

Late Too Late Reviews: Burnout Revenge

Today I’ve been playing Burnout Revenge for 15 minutes, here is my first impression:

This game is totally different from what you’ve played n car games. It’s like an advanced bumper car ride, along with all the cool cars you’ll have available. One thing: out of the first 15 minutes, I had to stand 10 of them of a girl (sounding much like Brooke Burke on NFS Underground) giving me all the details on the game, races, cars etc.

You thought you got rid of her? No! She is still in the very first race of each type giving you again those 10 minutes videos of cars smashing on each other while she still talks and talks and talks. Well, as you can see, I’ve only played 5 minutes of game, and then I had to go to the bathroom, and let my girlfriend play it for a while. She was instantly hooked. So there’s something to give your girl when you want to distract her for a few minutes. ;)

Well, that’s it. I really like smashing cars, and actually is pretty harder than it sounds, because you are looking for big combos here!. This is it so far in my late too late review. This game is from 2005 go figure. I have a stash of Xbox games that I’ve never played. So it’s time to get my thumbs dirrrrrty! Peace!

New Overlord Screenshots

Overlord is an upcoming game from Triumph Studios soon to be released for the Xbox 360 and PC. And I have to say the new screenshots look VERY NICE!!!

Well, to define the graphic style I think I should say “It’s like grabbing fable and Oblivion and mixing it in a big bad bowl” But enough talking, when the word screenshots is out we just wanna see the pictures. Following this link to Kotaku.

Day of the Tentacle Wall Art

I never get tired of game-related stuff. Shirts, caps, music, shows, paintings, you name it. If I had enough money I’d start collecting all those sort of things, because gaming is a part of my life.

This time I bring a wall painting made by Omer van Kloeten. As you can see the subject is the Tentacle made famous by Lucasarts with their game Day of the Tentacle, whose heroe was the popular tentacle from the classic Maniac Mansion – A game I’ve played in NES and never got to finish it.

Enjoy this piece of art in all its glory, and also take a look at the process on Omer’s Flickr Gallery.

It's Raining Pokeballs - Halleluyah!

If you like to watch a lot of balls, you will love this commercial. You will se loooots of balls falling from the skies!! Okay, now don't get too excited ladies out there ;). This is the new commercial for the new Pokemon games for Nintendo DS hitting the stores this April 22nd.

I haven't played Pokemon games since the first ones for Gameboy color (... I think it was Pokemon Red) but I remember I had fun catching them all. Then it seemed to me that every game was the same so I stopped playing it. But, hey one thing I learned from buying a lot of games is it enver hurts to give it a try.

The Ring of Death Visited Me

Well, it sure sounds as a japanese horror flick, but it isn't. What I'm talkin about here is the -until the writing of this post- death of my dear, beloved Xbox 360.

That's right my friends, the dreaded red light came out with an error E74 on the screen, just when I decided to buy Dead or Alive 4 the next day (I finished all DOA Ultimate the previous day). You know, I'm living in Peru, so the whole guarantee-change of the Xbox is kinda tricky, so I brought it to my man A.O. to see if he could fix it. Though as of now he is still finding a way of makinf it work thanks his tech-magic, we discovered while tearing apart the machine, that four small discs that usually go under some bolts were not there - why? - Someone had opened and handled the machine before. Since no one here beside A.O. knows how to do it, we had the answer right away: The Microsoft gang.

They probably received a failed machined, repaired it and sold it again as new TO ME.

I'm really pissed off at my machine dying, but I still like a lot my 360. Why don't they fix things? why it soen't work flawless like the tough Xbox? These are questions unanswered by humanity today. But maybe old Bill will give the answers from his multimillion dollars french chateau. Damn him!

The Voice of Mr Mario Bros!!!

Well I don't know if I can call that little moustache guy Mr. Mario, I think he is also a doctor... Anyway, do you know the guy that makes his voice, and the voice of Wario as well???? You can see him in this video, where he shows that characters doesn't look like the guys who make voice. If you expected a short guy with a hairy moustache, I tell you player, you're headed to a biiiiig disappointment.

I find very cool that he can double the voice as well as control the character. But as one comment says: Is that a PS2????

Founder of Rare are without a job

Rare, the same company that gave us titles such as Donkey Kong Country and Killer Instinct, was founded by the Stamper brothers. They had quite success during the period those games came out. Then Microsoft bought the company in $377 million (a lot of cash) Well, the thing is now these brothers are not working anymore for the company. Some rumors say that this happened due to the low sales of their ltest title Viva Piñata, for the Xbox 360.

I really feel bad when things such as this happens. And even more bad, when I see it is very common in big companies. I can say, that I would hate being fired from the same company I helped build. But well, some might say, this is the way businesses works.

This Chrstmas I WIsh...

I wish I had more time. Really, time passes very quickly and sometimes you don't have enough time to react to the changes. Besides that, I really wish I had Guitar Hero. It seems like a cool game. And being myself a guitar player I find it very interesting.

I hope Santa is reading my blog. :P

It's Been a Long Time

Wow, what an absence from my page!!!! It seems I haven't posted in years, and that may be true. That doesn't mean I have not played any games, in fact I have played them a lot since I bought my 360 . But along with working a lot on my own business I have not much time left.

Still, I refuse to abandon my blog! :D

It's surprising how the game industry has progressed over the years until becoming mainstream. I read everyday Joystiq.com just to get the latest news from the game community. I sometimes wish I was in a country like USA, where I get full access to all the services available. For example I have no place to buy an Xbox Live Membership!!! I had my free month of Gold memebership and I want more!!! Just to play PGR3 hehe.

Anyway, this is just my comeback post. So I will not bore any reader I might have with my crazy musings. If you arrive by chance here. Check my previous posts!!! heee.

Lost Planet, Xbox 360 exclusive

Well, I've been playing for a while Dead Rising and Saints Row, both great games by the way. But another game I'm looking forward to get my hands on is Lost Planet.

Lost Planet is a Capcom game. And I love Capcom ever since they created Megaman. Had an Xbox prevously so I really had no chance to play Devil May Cry, because it was a PS3 exculsive title aimed more to the Asian market. Now I don't know where did they get that bullshit from, but now they are making up for it and releasing some cool titles.

Lost Planet by the way will be a 360 exclusive title, so I'm pretty glad I bought one. In the words of Jun Takeuchi, or JT for the friends:

Lost Planet is an exclusive Xbox 360 title. Typically when the development team sets out to create a game, we focus development of the title on a single platform and for Lost Planet that platform is the Xbox 360. We have no plans at this time of porting to or developing for another console as this would potentially dilute the final product.

Yeah, Yeah Got My Xbox 360

UPDATE to my boring gaming life!!!! Just what you were expecting so much!!!

Well, got my Xbox, now I would really like to play it. Believe it or not I spent $600 on that machine - premuim edition. Now I'm almost broke, waiting fr my next check. (9 more days!!! I can do it!!)

For those who don't know me. I'm form Peru, so everything must go to taxes, services, etc, etc, so I expect to find the PS3 at $1000 no kidding. It is fucking awful, but I just have to embrace the facts. So far I've downloaded Pac Man to my 360. Yeah, $600 just to play Pac Man. I still have to re-accomodate al my gaming ecosystem, buy a long ethernet cable, a transformer. (Electricty ones, no Optimus Prime ones), and there you have it, I will be able 2 sdownload demos or give $60 to one happy store clerk of aprox the 3 stores that sells 360 games. Anyway, this makes me a pioneer of next-gen gaming in my country. Sí se puede!! - I don't understand why they can't even put a demo on my hard disk, and still I have a useless Titanic feature.

FF III arrives to America...November 14

The long awaited remake of Final Fantasy III arrives to America for the DS. Crazy cosplay fans will be making lines outside the closest gaming store to get ahold fo this new precious item in their collections. Yousee, It works like this with money making machines. That's why we still have Tony Hawk games popping out, or Medal of Honor and clones.

I've played a lot of WWII games, and still in my memory I keep the long nights of Medal Of Honor I gaming.

Did you know that Final Fantasy has a Juice, Cola or whatever that looks exactly the same as the in-game potions?. Fo' real!!!! I have proof here it is, so don't start calling me crazy, though maybe I am.

What's wrong with Sony? (or with me?)

I have a problem with the PS3. It just doesn't feel right.

This week I am facing an inner dilemma, I have the money to buy me an Xbox 360 along with an anxiety for playing next-gen games now, today (being specific, Dead Rising). Damn, I wish this was a big blog, where I could get hands on preview of all that cool stuff, but it isn't so I have to save for my toys. ;)

This got me thinking. Is Sony taking too much time? When the news first came out that the big next-gen game console wars had started i was excited. All my bets to the PS3, because I have an Xbox and missed a lot of PS2 games. But now Sony, is taking too long. I feel I'm not the only one. They've announced it's gonna be expensive, and this is worst to me, since I'm out of the USA.

How much will the games cost? Making a game is getting more expensive every year, or every console, since we are talking about them. It´s like making a movie, the fancier the graphics, physics and all the cool stuff, it is gonna cost more.

So I don't know... I'm getting tired of waiitng for the PS3, and not getting any great news from Sony. The last news I heard was 2 game development companies not making anything for the PS3. and here I'm am writing this. What do you think about this?

Mario Bros Magnets For Ya Fridge!

If you're a serious gamer, you should pay respect to Mario Bros. That's true, you should have at least one thing related to it. A magazine, a TV episode recorded on VCR. Anything you know? It's all about loooove.

Well if you don't have anything, and have some extra dough to spend, take a look at these Nintendo Mario Bros Magnets. Ideal for your fridge but not too much for your computer screen.
I'm waiting for my shipment on this, I just couldn't resist the temptation, the rest of my moeny was well invested on women and alcohol. Peace!

Top 20 Gay characters

Gaygamer.net has published a list of 20 gay characters. Although the list is very well crafted, I think they're missing a couple that always made me feel like there was something wrong with them:

The Classic Contra Guys

But..maybe that's just me though, maybe with images from Contra 3 characters I can prove my point :P

Megaman Maverick Hunters X

What should I buy?

That was my question when I was deciding between the PSP and the Nintendo DS.
I had to take in consideration many of the features that may seem useful for me. Tactile screen??? MP3??? Which one is brighter??? You know, the usual stuff that marketers make you lust for. At the end I made my decision considering the games. I'm a big fan of both Castlevania and Megaman, so this was pretty tough. It was at this point that images of Megaman from my childhood came to my mind starting with that gorious day I finished Megaman 2. :D

So I bought the PSP and Megaman Maverick Hunters X.

Yes, I can't resist a Megaman Game, I have to really control myself to stop buying a PS2 just for them. Luckily I found a copy of a Megaman X8 floating ont he web :P.

I really recommend this game, I'm playing in Hard mode, and I noticed I'm a little bit rusty. Plus there are some changes like... VILE ACTUALLY KILLING YOU AT THE FIRST STAGE... :P So if you have a PSP and you love classic games you won't be dissapointed.

Space Invaders Human Theater Style

Space Invaders is a classic, and right now classic is cool. Relive your youth this time thanks to a bunch of playahs, re-enacting scenes from Space Invaders just using their human bodies on a theater as a composition. I'm not sure if I can understand what I just wrote, but who cares? ;)

Link: SPACE INVADERS

By the way, speaking of classics, I just bought a PSP with Megaman Maverick Hunter X, and that is totally awesome!!! Yeah, that's right. This time I found the hard mode a little bit thougher though, if you have a PSP, be sure to buy this cool game. But, then maybe it's just because I'm a huge Megaman series fan.
